Last Ride -- FINAL SHOW of the RUN

This is it, our last run outta town. Bandolero's storied 8-month run with the legendary Threat comes to a close tomorrow, Tuesday April 29th, at 9:30.

We'll perform our show "The Letter" for one last time, and then we're taking some time off to sit back and relax.

So come on out, we'd love to see you, and it's your last chance to see us in our very first major run.

9:30pm at the People's Improv Theater, on 29th st between 7th and 6th, just $5.

We love you.

Hey You

You!

C'mon out to Bandolero's show tomorrow.

They're doing "The Letter", where they read from this big breakup letter and then do improv off of it.

They're only doing it three more times, and then they're gonna be off for who knows how long.

So c'mon out to the Pit at 9:30 this Tuesday night to see Bandolero. Threat comes on after to do their show that starts off with a live Tarot card reading.

Whole thing's 5 bucks, which should leave you plenty for pizza and a beer.

urgency

It's time to confer in your tropical bunkers and activate contingency plans: Bandolero's show "The Letter" has set a closing date. That's right, although the real-life never-read post-breakup letter that we read from to start our improvised show has 144 handwritten pages, we're only going to spend 5 (that's five (FIVE)) more shows exploring it.

And to be perfectly clear - after those five weeks, Bandolero's going on break for a little while, so this is your last chance to see us at the Pit until sometime later this year.

The bad news is: no shows in May. The good news is: shows every Tuesday in April with Bandolero and the superlative Threat performing their show "Fool's Journey".

So gas up the dune buggy, put the chopper in stealth mode, and tuck your leather holster undee your hawaiian shirt. Time's a-wastin.

Tuesdays, 9:30 pm, $5

Reinforcements

BANDOLERO proudly welcomes special guest Steve Soroka (of Jen + Steve and Pit house team The Baldwins) as he joins us in this week's performance of THE LETTER, our show about correspondence.

Tuesday, the Pit, 9:30pm, $5, I'm in a hurry.

This should be fun as balls!

Additional guests possible but unconfirmed at this time.

Milkmaid

Damn, even milkmaids get letters. Or nuns, or whatever she is. Dutchwomen.*

The good news is, if you or any milkmaids you know bring in a letter you've received, BANDOLERO will read from it onstage and make up a show inspired by it in THE LETTER, our show about correspondence.

On nights when there are no audience submissions, we'll use our backup material -- a 144-page post-breakup letter received in real life by one of our members several years ago.

This Tuesday night, 9:30, at the Peoples Improv Theater in Chelsea. Just $5, or $4.99 with a pint of cream.

Bandolero is name name name name name & name.

If you no longer wish to so on and so forth.

As you are

BANDOLERO doesn't mind if you're in your pajamas, furs, whatever you want - we just want to see you there as we perform THE LETTER, ourshow about correspondence. We read from a genuine 144-page post-breakup letter -- or any correspondence you bring to the show -- and then jump from there into wherever the improv takes us.

Tuesday night, 9:30 at the P.I.T. in Chelsea, $5 dollars as always.
Followed by THREAT with "Fool's Journey".

Bandolero is Santo D'Asaro, Tara Giordano, Kevin Gottleib, Geoff Grimwood, Seena Job, Steve Pasieka, Betsy Winchester.

hugs from venom

BANDOLERO proudly presents: THE LETTER. We read from a 144-page post-breakup letter, and learn that from this document conceived in pain, we can actually draw quite a bit of fun.

If you've got something you'd like us to read and use onstage, bring it in.

Tuesday nights, 9:30 at the PIT, $5.

Followed by THREAT performing "Fool's Journey", which launches from a live Tarot reading into an improv set that will blow your circuits.

gather round, family

time together

BANDOLERO invites you to pick a page from a real 144-page post-breakup letter for us to read to you. We'll use it to inspire our improvised show. Last week we found a colored-pencil drawing of some puzzle pieces; the week before it was a page from a term paper about feminism.

If you or a friend has a juicy piece of correspondence, bring it in, and we'll read that too!

It's all part of our show THE LETTER, and it's this and every Tuesday night at 9:30 at the Peoples Improv Theater. Tickets are just $5 to see us and THREAT, who are performing their new show "Fool's Journey", which begins with a live one-card Tarot reading for an audience volunteer.

Reading over our shoulders is encouraged.

BANDOLERO proudly presents THE LETTER: Our new show in which we invite you to pick a page from a 144-page breakup letter to be read for the first time ever.

The letter is real, it's handwritten, and it's 144 damn pages. There's no predicting what might be found on any given page - Anger! Remorse! Newspaper clippings! - but whatever it is, we'll use it as the jumping-off point for our improv piece.

Audience members are encouraged to bring in their own bits of correspondence or breakup-related material for BANDOLERO to use for the show.

Followed by THREAT with their new tarot-informed show, "Fool's Journey".

Tuesday night, 9:30, the Peoples Improv Theater, $5,

Bandolero is Santo D'Asaro, Tara Giordano, Kevin Gottlieb, Geoff Grimwood, Seena Jon, Steve Pasieka, Betsy Winchester.

pensive

BANDOLERO has a lot to think about - mostly involving our new form, THE LETTER, in which we explore the question:

"Can a 144-page breakup letter inspire 144 shows?"

We bring the letter, you pick the page, we read aloud, discuss, and improvise a show based on what arises.

Followed by THREAT performing their new show, "Fool's Journey".
Awesome. Hilarious. Spooky.

This and every Tuesday night, 9:30, at the PIT, $5 for the whole shebang.

Thoughtfully,
Bandolero

beginning and end

circle of life

Two BANDOLERO shows this week on two consecutive days, spanning the two bookends of the human romantic relationship:

TONIGHT: BANDOLERO provides the (intentional) entertainment in THE SPEED DATING SHOW - two sets of our improv nestled between sessions of real live speed dating. No foolin! Why meet a couple of people when you could meet a couple dozen?

TOMORROW: BANDOLERO at its usual time and place with Threat, presenting our new show-in-progress, The Letter, which takes its inspiration from one of the longest breakup letters the world has ever seen

Thus, if you see us twice this week, you'll witness, in just 24 hours, the beginnings of scores of potential relationships, and the bizarre, fuming debris left in the wake of one's end.

Maybe next week we'll do one show with an egg and one with a chicken dinner.

All shows $5, all at the Pit.

Bandolero is Santo D'asaro, Tara Giordano, Kevin Gottlieb, Geoff Grimwood, Seena Jon, Steve Pasieka, Betsy Winchester, who are in love.
